BoLang's journey: April 10_Our trip to Yangshuo (110401-110405)

This is our trip to Yangshuo, Guilin at Tomb Sweeping Festival. Enjoy!

Day 1: train from Changsha to Guilin
1st April 2011, 7.12 PM, we took a train to Guilin. Without air conditioning, u will need to take off your jacket even it's 12C outside. Especially if u just chased the train and people were everywhere.

We played cards, we chat, we tried to sleep, but the problem is the train is too slow~

Day 2: KFC, elephant trunk hill 象鼻山, two rivers and four lakes 两江四湖 and its famous star&moon pagodas, Zheng Yang walking street, gate of 7 stars park (didn't get in), bus to Yangshuo

walking down the street. Guilin is a small city. It's 20 minutes walking from the train station to the tourist spots

Elephant trunk hill scenic area~象鼻山

40 RMB to go inside. We decided not to get in, 太贵了！

Walk a little further, at the back of the 3rd gate, there is steps to go down. Go down then u can see the elephant trunk. Save 40 RMB. We didn't get any good picture, it's foggy. Good thing we didn't spend 40RMB!

Across the Elephant Trunk Hill area is the sun and moon pagodas! 两江四湖

We didn't want to spend a night in Guilin, so we walked whole afternoon to see this view. 值得吗？累死了

If u want to take a boat, u should pay for 190RMB to go around 两江四湖. We just picked the best spot.

After that we took a bus from Guilin to Yangshuo (15RMB, 80 minutes). Bus was clean, air-conditioned, comfy enough.

Day 3: Rode a bike to Yu Long River 骑车到遇龙河, visit Big Banyan Tree 大榕树, watch the Impression of Liu San Jie‘s show 印象刘三姐

We spent 3 nights at Showbiz Inn, it's an international youth hostel, 30 RMB/person/night for the 6 beds private dorm. And this is the view from our room. So peaceful！

This is their rooftop bar. The view is amazing, Lijiang river and its famous unique mountains

桂林米粉 for breakfast, 5 RMB. I think the name is: 无名桂林米粉店.

It's located at the back of Mc Donalds. Great taste! Good price!

This hard-working old man gets 5 RMB for a picture.

Back to hostel. Bought raincoats, 4 RMB each. Ready for our trip to Yulong River!

Riding a bike is a must in Yangshuo! Enjoy the view along the way, we really had a great time.

Nah, finally, the beautiful river. Yu long river is the branch of Lijiang river.

Silly thing~~ we had a great time, huh! Yeah, we should!

So, this is the special trees. It has one big root, but it has more roots from its branch. Cool!

Way back home， still we enjoy every second we had there

The impression of Liu San Jie ~印象刘三姐。 155RMB for VIP seat! Great show! Must see!

bet there are more than 300 people participate in. The songs, the colors of their clothes, the view, the sound system and even the services, all are amazing!

Slept at 3.30 AM

Day 4: bus to Yangdi (9.5RMB), took boat at Li river 漓江 (Yangdi 杨堤 - Xingping 兴平), bus back to Yangshuo (6RMB) . West Street 西街

35 RMB for a seat? Worth! People say it should be 100 RMB for a boat (4 people on it), but since it's peak season, then it was 35 RMB. Choose this kind of boat, don't choose the big one. 她们四个人。

桂林山水甲天下！Now I fully understand why people say Guilin's scenery is number 1 in the world！

阳朔山水甲桂林！And Yangshuo is the best in Guilin!

It was cold that day! It was raining, but no matter what, we really had FUN!

One the best spot in Li Jiang, 九马画山。 There are 9 horses on the mountain back there. I found 6.
